i scream, you scream, stop - what? ice cream, in december, really? you must be kidding me?!
yes, but we do have an emergency and need your help:
all remaining ice cream from our last fika events has got to be eaten asap..

though, it's been pretty cold lately, and we can't risk cooling down the brains of all PhD students,
so we decided to provide some warm drinks as well:

The PhD movie

The Doctoral Board at the Uppsala Student Union, in cooperation with UTN, is bringing The PhD Movie to Uppsala! Big time!

This is the second screening, we hope everybody can make it to at least one the two dates!

There will be no Pub after the second screening..!

any plans for the 11/11/11?
cancel any wedding, baptism (or other sect activities I was about to write..) and come to TNDR's Pub!!

We'll start at UTHgård at 1830, everybody is welcome to eat and drink whatever one favours!
No nation card required, everybody's welcome! Still, thanx to UTN, we can offer decent prices..

We also warmly recommend the screening of the PhD movie that evening, 1730, at the polacksbacken aula!!
We'll all go to the Pub together afterwards!

Foreign PhD students in Sweden

a motion for a riksdags resolution, suggesting to make it easier for foreign PhD students to stay and work in Sweden while and after finishing their PhD studies; the basic idea is make it possible to become a swedish citizen after 4 years of PhD studies!

TNDR needs a new representative to the graduate education board

At the end of this year one of TNDR:s regular representatives to the graduate education board, Susanna Kaufmann, will step down due to maternal leave. That means we need to fill that position from January 1st up until the next regular annual meeting (a period of about six months, or one academic semester).

The graduate education board ("forskarutbildningsnämnden", FUN) is one of the most important governing bodies at the faculty concerning graduate education (our education!). This position at the graduate education board also comes with an honorary from the faculty.

If you would like to know more about the kind of work expected from a PhD student representative to FUN, contact one of the current representatives, or the TNDR board, or why not read the FUN webpage at the faculty website.

Election for this position will be held at the next TNDR meeting.
